Born 1984

A fast emerging talented Indian artist L.N.NAGA who now does his casting in bronze is focusing on women centric subjects indigenous to Indian society.
His series started in 2015 that revolved around women have been appraised by Global audience as he showcases solely with ArtchillGallery located inside historically famous Heritage Monument- The AmberFort at Jaipur. The female subjects he has touched have moved the hearts of many art lovers & buyers to collect his Sculptures , that grace many important homes across many countries both indoor as well as for outdoor. Special mention should be done on the works signifying the need to protect female child as there is immense pressure on Indian women to produce a male child as mindset of certain people are very narrow - Naga has done significant work on this subject in minimal approach.
Many of Naga's creations are dedicated to the selfless approach of women towards their families , he has aesthetically created Sculptures that are a tribute to the MOTHER , titled 'Flexible Mother' who not only balances the clashing factors within the family but also maintains her own balance & decorum; As he makes 5 editions of these, some are totally sold out & found place in esteemed collections. His tribute to Lady of the House is a splendid example of grace & minimality- heavy bronzes of beautifully stylized female figures holding the family together with the roots are shown rolling with energy & poise.

Artist Statement

My work revolves around life & struggles of human beings and its relation to the society.
My sculptures seek to describe the problems and short comings of our society as I see them through my own eyes.    My work suggests the struggle of human being & I try to convert liquid materials into solid conceptual form, many of my sculptures are suspended in the air.

Perceiving the world around me, I am fascinated by the possibilities of capturing the moment from the unceasingly changing world like tea pouring from a tea-pot, color falling from a paint brush, pouring of metal, eagle flying in the air etc. In one of my sculpture ‘society’, I tried to show the differences between girls and boys in our society. While the boy looks strong and healthy the girl looks rather weak and helpless. In another piece ‘struggle’ I showed the gap between human efforts to the results he is able to achieve. From whatsoever man invests, he is able to get only one third from his efforts.
‘Depth with growth’ claims that as much as a person will go deep the more he is able to grow and rise. Success in any field depends on the depth of the quest and search of that person.

'Time’ the life of human being is not eternal, we lose our life in each and every moment like sand falling from a man’s hand.
All my sculptures are made out of brass, through the process of casting. Taking advantage of the brass material I tried to explore the relation of heavy and delicate forms, suggesting the paradox of our world: fragile and temporary but on the other hand solid, and everlasting. I also work with Metal Stone and Terracotta.
